The Athens-Clarke County Leisure Services Department will host the first of three TSPLOST public workshops today at 6PM.
Central Services, Transportation and Public Works, and other Clarke County staff will help residents develop and submit transportation project proposals for TSPLOST 2023.
Here's District 5 Commissioner Tim Denson explaining the range of projects you can submit. "Sidewalks in your community or on an important road, bike lanes, bike infrastructure, bus stops, the new transit route. All these kind of things are possibilities. A stormwater is another one, and anybody can propose this and bring it forward."
Today's workshop will be held at Lay Park from 6-8PM.
Two more workshops are scheduled for July 24th and August 7th. Residents may attend in-person or virtually through WebEx. The deadline to submit a proposal is August 15th.
