COVID-19 Cases Trending Upward in Georgia

With the U.S. setting a record of over 100,000 daily COVID-19 cases last Thursday, numbers are continuing to increase in Georgia with over 374-thousand cumulative cases. The death toll is at 8,223 and over 32,000 people have been hospitalized. 

 

Athens-Clarke County has 6,050 cases of coronavirus infections and 50 deaths. Barrow County is reporting 2,763 cases and 55 deaths, Jackson has 2,638 cases with 44 deaths. In Madison County there are 862 cases and 12 deaths, Oconee County has 911 cases, and 32 deaths, and Oglethorpe County has 448 cases with 13 deaths. 

The Georgia Department of Public Health attributes another 454 probable deaths to COVID.
