Polls Open Tomorrow for District Attorney Runoff Election

Athens Banner-Herald

Tomorrow is runoff day for District Attorney in the Western Judicial Circuit. Democrat Deborah Gonzalez will be running against unaffiliated candidate James Chaffin, to represent parts of Clarke and Oconee County.

Polls will be open tomorrow from 7 am until 7 pm. If you’re in line to vote at 7 pm, you will be able to vote.

In Clarke County voters can also drop off their absentee ballots at one of the State’s official drop boxes before 7 pm on election day. Drop boxes will be located at the Athens-Clarke County Elections Office, Athens-Clarke County Library, Athens-Clarke County Multimodal Transportation Center, Fire Station #7, the ACC Extension Office, and Winterville City Hall.

In Oconee County, voters can drop off absentee ballots in front of the Oconee County Board of Elections & Registration office.

Not on the ballot will be Georgia’s two Senate runoff elections between Reverend Warnock and Senator Loeffler and between Jon Ossoff and Senator Perdue. Those elections will take place on January 5th of next year.

If you did not vote in the first round of voting earlier this month, you can still vote tomorrow.
