Reward Offered in Athens Armed Robbery

On Friday, May 31, 2019, at about 11:30 p.m., Athens-Clarke County Police Department officers responded to an armed robbery at the goPuff store on Commerce Road, according to an ACCPD report. According to the report, Crime Stoppers is offering up to a $1,000 reward for any information leading to the arrest of the two suspects.

According to the report, officers spoke with two witnesses who said that two males, whose identities were concealed, entered the store armed with handguns and demanded cash from the store safe. After obtaining the cash, the suspects demanded the witnesses hand over their phones, then fled on foot.
