The University of Georgia is some 2 million dollars richer, following the conclusion of the institution’s annual giving week, which wrapped up on Saturday.
Gifts came from more than 4,000 individual donors, from 120 of the state’s 159 counties, all 50 states, and nine different countries.
According to a University media release, most of the gifts went to unrestricted funds, which are flexible sources of funding that allow schools and colleges to spend money on their most important priorities. All 17 of the University’s schools and colleges received donations. Visit this UGA Today article for more information about this year's giving week.
