The fourth and final listeners’ appreciation for the year concludes the show’s extended commemoration of twenty-six years on Athens Public Radio station, WUGA. The episode provides an update on the ongoing FIFA Men’s World Cup competition in Qatar, including remarkable upsets and the fair tournament the five African representatives are having as Senegal emerges as the first African team to qualify for the round of 16. The episode recognizes and celebrates three listeners that were part of the 2022 African Perspectives Anniversary feedback opportunity. It shares their responses to the three announced queries about the show: how long they have tuning in; features they like; and features that they would like to see added or increased. The episode features the feedback comments from three responding listeners: Christy Sinksen, Masaki Mori, and Jackie Dorsey. As always, the episode featured selected enjoyable music from Africa and/or by Africans including selected tunes from two Putumayo Presents collections: African Party and Acoustic Africa.
