Alexia Ridley joined WUGA as Television and Radio News Anchor and Reporter in 2013. When WUGA TV concluded operations, she became the primary Reporter for WUGA Radio. Alexia came to Athens from Macon where she served as the News Director and show host for WGXA TV. She's a career journalist and Savannah native hailing from the University of Michigan. However, Alexia considers herself an honorary UGA DAWG!
Martin Matheny is WUGA's Program Director and a host and producer of our local news program 'Athens News Matters.' He started at WUGA in 2012 as a part-time classical music host and still hosts WUGA's longest-running local program 'Night Music' which is heard on WUGA and GPB Classical. He lives in Normaltown with his wife, Shaye and dog, Murphy.
Robin Whetstone began as the Operations Assistant at WUGA in 2019, and moved into Production at the station in 2021. She loves using production, broadcasting, and digitaL technology to deliver stories that inform and entertain.

Robin is the Senior Producer of Athens News Matters, WUGA's weekly news and culture program, airing Wednesdays at 6pm, and hosts All Things Considered each weekday from 4-6:30pm.

A UGA MPH alumna, she also hosts and produces the Georgia Health Report, a weekly look at health policy and practice in Georgia and in our nation featuring Andy Miller, Southern Bureau Chief and Senior Editor of Kaiser Health News. (Multiple airings on WUGA and state-wide on Georgia Public Broadcasting.)

Robin has worked previously as a journalist, and most recently was a columnist for Flagpole Magazine. She started her career in Public Broadcasting at WPBT, Miami and Southeast Florida's Public Television station. When Robin's not at the station, you can find her wondering why this thing happened and what that person thinks.
