The Athens Homeless Coalition

Street News is a local newspaper facilitated by the Athens Homeless Coalition. The paper seeks to amplify the voices of people experiencing homelessness, and articles are written almost entirely by members of the local homeless community.

The University of Georgia School of Medicine will team up with several organizations Wednesday to host a forum on how UGA students can participate in serving unsheltered people in Athens.

The Athens Homeless Coalition gave an annual update to the Athens-Clarke County Commission this week. The organization’s Executive Director said a new tool has drawn a clearer picture of homelessness in the city.
