West Broad School

The Clarke County School District held two public hearings Tuesday on the future of the historic West Broad Street School campus, unveiling a plan to reuse the long-neglected complex after roughly eight years of it sitting unused.

At Wednesday night’s Board of Education meeting, CCSD Interim Superintendent Jennifer Scott updated the community on the condition of the West Broad Street School.

The Clarke County School District Board of Education approved $142,000 to cleanup the West Broad Street School following a recent fire at the site.

Both issues have been longtime controversies in CCSD.
