Jackson County Sheriff's Office Arrests Burglary Suspects

The Jackson County Sheriff’s Office has announced the arrests of three burglary suspects. According to a media release from Sheriff Janis Mangum, on August 11, deputies arrested 28-year old Benjamin Evans of Nicolson, 30-year old Darren Wright of Maysville, and 36-year old Nicole Broome of Watkinsville.

Deputies responded to a report of a burglary in the Commerce area. According to the release, the subjects were caught by surveillance cameras as they remove property from a residence.

Evans was charged with Burglary 1st degree & Felony Violation of Probation. Wright was charged with 2 counts of Burglary 1st degree. Broome was charged with 2 counts of Burglary 1st degree.

Citizens are encouraged to notify their local law enforcement agencies of any suspicious persons, crimes or other relevant information by calling 911 or the Jackson County Sheriff’s Office at (706) 367-8718.
