Georgia Gas Prices Set New 2019 High

Georgia gas prices set a new 2019-high of $2.30 per gallon, after rising for the 18th consecutive day, for a total of 16 cents.

According to Triple A Auto Club Group, Sunday's state average of $2.30 per gallon is 2 cents more than a week ago, and 16 cents more than last month. Despite the uptick, Georgia motorists are still paying 13 cents per gallon less than this time last year.

In February, gas prices around the state averaged $2.19 per gallon.  The monthly average is 9 cents more than January 2019, yet 25 cents less than February 2018. So far this month, gas prices remain well below the monthly average in March 2018 of $2.45 per gallon.

Most expensive gas prices: Brunswick ($2.46), Hinesville-Fort Stewart ($2.39), Savannah ($2.36)

Least expensive gas prices: Catoosa-Dade-Walker ($2.22), Warner Robins ($2.23), Dalton ($2.24).

The average price in Clarke County is $2.29 per gallon.
