grady.uga.edu

The University of Georgia will begin telecommuting and flexible schedules starting Monday, March 16th. A letter from President Jere Morehead states that telework options are available for all staff members who are able to conduct their job duties remotely.

Supervisors have also been directed to implement flexible schedules in order to reduce the number of employees physically on campus to the minimal level required at any given time to sustain service, safety, and compliance.

Undergraduate and graduate student workers should be allowed to work if they fit into staffing plans. Telework options are recommended, when appropriate. Students should consult with their supervisors to determine their individual status. The Graduate School will offer more specific guidance for graduate students on assistantships.

UGA has suspended classes for two weeks, from Monday, March 16th to Monday, March 30th. Online classes which are currently operating will continue.

All nonessential travel, including travel to conferences, particularly those held internationally and out-of-state; training, site visits, and any non-essential activities is suspended during this time.

The University System of Georgia has implemented a mandatory 14-day self-quarantine for any students, faculty or staff who traveled outside the country during the past 14 days. Anyone returning to UGA or any other state school, must be free from coronavirus symptoms for 14 days before returning to campus.

Students who have academic advising appointments are urged to keep their appointments.
