UGA Football to Take on Crimson Tide This Weekend

ESPN

Tomorrow the No. 3 ranked University of Georgia football team will travel to Tuscaloosa to play the No. 2 ranked University of Alabama.

Fans looking to attend the game will see social distancing guidelines reduce attendance to just 20 percent of what is traditional. There will also be no tailgating allowed before the game.

There is however some uncertainty as to how the game itself will play out. Earlier this week Alabama head coach Nick Saban tested positive for COVID-19, along with University of Alabama Athletic Director Greg Byrne.

Speaking to the press directly following the announcement, an asymptomatic Saban explained how his diagnosis might affect the game on Saturday.

“I'm not sure exactly how this is going to play out when the game comes, whether I can have communication with people or not. So we’ll have to research and sort of figure that one out. But we did have a plan for each coach on the staff as to what might happen.”

The game will kick-off at 8 pm eastern, in Tuscaloosa.
