CCSD Students to Return to 5-day, In-Person School After Spring Break

Clarke County School District

Yesterday, Superintendent Dr. Thomas announced that Clarke County Schools will resume full-time, in-person instruction beginning on April 12th.

While full-time virtual learning remains an option, students who want to attend school in person will have to do so full-time following Spring Break.

In a statement released on Monday, Dr. Thomas explained that the full reopening was the result of consistently low numbers of COVID-19 positive cases in schools. Also, the majority of district staff will have received both doses of the Pfizer vaccine by the time spring break is over

The school district will continue cleaning procedures to limit the spread of COVID-19 throughout the rest of the 2020-2021 school year.
