Earlier this month Joni Taylor, the University of Georgia women's basketball coach was named the 2021 Whack Hyder Georgia Women's College Coach of the Year.
Taylor also won the 2021 SEC Coach of the Year Award, and is one of four finalists for the Werner Ladder Naismith National Coach of the Year. That’s all in recognition of UGA’s run to the SEC championship game, and the second round of the NCAA tournament.
As for her players, UGA’s Maya Caldwell was drafted by the Indiana Fever in last week’s WNBA Draft
