Early voting is surging in Clarke County for runoff elections which will be held on June 21st.

Voters in the District 5 commission race will decide between Dexter Fisher and Matt Pulver. The seat of District 5 Commissioner is currently held by Tim Densen, but as a result of redistricting he is unable to run again.

Yesterday alone 1,386 early votes were received in the commission race. That includes absentee voters and in person early voting. Prior to yesterday just 758 votes were cast.

Additionally, early voting for the Republican and Democratic runoff primaries for U.S. House District 10 is underway. Republicans will be deciding between Mike Collins and Vernon Jones while Democrats will pick between Tabitha Johnson-Green and Jessica Fore.
