The Georgia Bulldogs celebrated back-to-back national championships in Athens, Ga., on Saturday, Jan. 14, 2023.

After their second straight national championship, the former Georgia Bulldogs quarterback was arrested.

Stetson Bennett was charged with public intoxication in Dallas, Texas on Sunday. Officers responded to reports of a man banging on doors shortly after 6 a.m on 1600 block of Tribeca Way. Police said the former player was intoxicated Saturday night and was charged and then taken to the City Detention Center.

After winning the Manning Award by the Allstate Sugar Bowl last week, Bennett told reports that he would be training for his professional career in Fort Worth, Texas. Bennett is a possible pick for the upcoming NFL draft in April.

Stetson was reported to have been released Sunday morning.
