The Athens Clarke County Police Department announced Thursday that it has arrested an Athens man on charges of drug possession and trafficking as well as possession of firearms during the commission of a crime.
A 47-year old male was arrested Tuesday after ACCPD and the Northeast Georgia Regional Drug Task Force executed a search warrant at his Mitchell Bridge Road home.
The suspect was arrested after a traffic stop revealed a pistol and a kilogram of cocaine. During the follow up investigation at the suspect’s home, investigators seized firearms, illegal drugs, and thousands of dollars in cash.
