Colt Gray, the teenager accused of killing two students and two teachers in the Apalachee High School shooting, appeared in front of a judge, December 9th for a status hearing.

Gray was accompanied by his lawyer, the third one he has had for this case. Gray’s lawyer explained to the judge that one of the reasons the case was moving slowly is that she was brought on in mid-October and there are large volumes of discovery to review. She also stated that another reason for the delay is that they are awaiting the results of a medical evaluation that should be available in February.

The judge set a March 18 date for a calendar call to discuss the next steps in the case.

Gray’s father, Colin Gray, is also facing charges for allegedly providing his son with the semiautomatic rifle used in the shooting.
