ACC Government provides winter warming resources

Athens-Clarke County will experience cold and near-freezing temperatures in the coming days and weeks

The ACC Government has provided resources for community members to stay warm this winter.

Athens-Clarke County will experience cold temperatures in the coming days and weeks. The ACC Government has listed various emergency ongoing shelter resources for community members in need.

Organizations providing shelter include Bigger Vision of Athens, Salvation Army, Athens Area Homeless Shelter, and Family Promise of Athens. There will be a pop-up warming tent at Lay Park today and tomorrow.

Temporary additional emergency shelter resources or warming stations at private locations or ACC Government facilities may be added during severe weather.
