As election season approaches for the county, the ACCGov has named their Elections Department Director.
Pamela Long has been named the Elections Department Director. Long has worked in Athens-Clarke County’s Elections Department since 2014.
She has acted as the Interim Elections Department Director for the last year, stepping into the role after the resignation of the former director, Charlotte Sosebee.
Long has a federal certification as a Certified Elections/Registration Administrator from the National Association of Election Officials. ACCGov manager Bob Cowell says that her certification, along with her commitment to the elections process, makes her the best choice for the role.
Long says that she looks forward to upholding Athens-Clarke’s strong tradition of civic engagement.
