The Athens-Clarke County Unified Government is accepting applications to fill multiple openings on local boards, authorities, and commissions, offering residents an opportunity to participate in community decision-making.
Available positions include seats on the Airport Authority, Library Board, Downtown Development Authority, Planning Commission, and Human Relations Commission, among others. Terms vary by board, ranging from partial terms ending in 2029 to appointments lasting up to six years.
Applicants must be residents of Athens-Clarke County and may apply for up to two positions, submitting a separate application for each. Applications are available online or through the Clerk of Commission’s Office at City Hall.
