The Clarke County School District (CCSD) has opened applications for parents and guardians to apply for their children to attend schools in the district that are outside their school attendance zones.
Families that have children attending schools in the Clarke County School District can now apply for School Choice for the 2026 – 2027 school year. The last day for parents and guardians to apply is Saturday, May 9, at 11:59 p.m.
The School Choice application allows families to transfer their children to schools in CCSD outside their attendance zone. Transfers are only available based on the amount of space in a classroom once all assigned students are enrolled.
For the upcoming school year, 12 out of the 14 elementary schools, four middle schools, and Cedar Shoals High School are accepting school choice applicants. Families will know by June 9 if their request has been approved, and they must decide by July 22. If approved, families will be held responsible for transportation.
