Tax revenue in the state of Georgia is up this month by almost 5% compared to what it was in March of last year.
Thanks to the changes in Individual Income Tax, Sales and Use Tax, and Corporate Income Tax, March’s net tax revenue saw a 4.8% increase compared to March 2025.
Some of the changes include the increase of Individual Income Tax refunds issued rising by nearly 5%. Gross Sales and Use Tax saw an increase of nearly 8% over last year. Most notably, Corporate Income Tax collections increased by almost 14% compared to March 2025.
The year-to-date net tax revenue collections are up nearly 2% compared to the 2025 fiscal year.
Motor Fuel Tax collections also saw a small increase of 0.5% compared to March of last year.
