Vice President JD Vance and Erika Kirk are scheduled to visit the Akins Ford Arena at the Classic Center on April 14th as part of a national tour organized by Turning Point USA.
The event is part of the “This Is the Turning Point Tour,” a five-stop series organizers say is aimed at engaging college students in political discussion while continuing the mission of Turning Point USA’s late founder, Charlie Kirk.
The Athens stop will open doors at 1 p.m., with the program beginning at 5 p.m. Admission is free, but attendees must RSVP in advance, and seating will be available on a first-come, first-served basis.
TPUSA is a nonprofit organization that advocates for conservative values to students by hosting various events at high school and university campuses.
The Athens stop is expected to be one of several high-profile appearances as the tour travels to college towns across the country.
