Athens was the second stop on the 'This Is the Turning Point Tour' and supporters and protesters made themselves known.

Vice President JD Vance and Erika Kirk are scheduled to visit the Akins Ford Arena at the Classic Center on April 14th as part of a national tour organized by Turning Point USA.

Turning Point, a conservative organization founded by Erika Kirk’s late husband, Charlie Kirk, announced a new tour of five college towns, with Athens as the second stop.
