St. Mary’s Health Care System is getting a $35 million expansion. The new facility will be added to the Baxter Street campus and will be dedicated to heart health and cancer.
The Center for Heart Vascular and Neurosciences (CHVN) will be a 15,000-square-foot facility that will feature medical technology that has not previously been available in the area. The region’s first 4D CT scanner will be one of the new technologies that specialists will have 24/7 access to, along with expanded rapid response stroke services.
The CHVN will double St. Mary’s capacity to detect and treat cardiovascular disease, according to St. Mary’s Chief of Cardiology.
A groundbreaking ceremony is set to happen in mid-June.
