Clarke County voters took advantage of the last day to cast their ballots in the general primary election.

The parking lot at Clarke Central High School was busy this morning as voters came to cast their ballots for the local nonpartisan and state general primary elections.

Over 13,000 Clarke County voters chose to vote early, but some people, like Mary Songster, took advantage of Election Day.

“I vote every election,” Songster said. “I have to say, I’m pretty interested in the local, or the things that’ll be determined today, like the judges and the nonpartisan races, so I look forward to seeing the outcome of those.”

Songster also said she believes some of today’s races are likely to result in runoff elections.

Any runoffs that are necessary will take place June 16.
