As early voting for the primary election begins Monday in Georgia, several environmental organizations will hold a forum with candidates vying for Athens-Clarke County’s mayoral seat.

Voters can head to the polls starting Monday to vote early in the state Democratic and Republican primaries, as well as local non-partisan elections.

District 3 in Athens-Clarke County covers much of East Athens, stretching from Oak Street to Robert Hardeman Road. Tiffany Taylor has held the commission seat in District 3 since 2023.

Tammie Foote is a resident of District 3 in Athens and a long-time social services professional. She is running against Tiffany Taylor for the commission seat in District 3.

April 20th is the final day to register or update voter information in order to participate in the May 19th general primary and nonpartisan elections.
