Political experts will be watching Georgia closely tomorrow as the nominees for the midterm elections to come are decided.
Early voting, which concluded Friday, saw over 1 million Georgia voters cast their ballot in this year’s general primary election.
Clarke County saw an 18% turnout during early voting, which is more than 13,000 voters. May 19th will be the final day to cast a ballot for the general primary election as well as the final day to cast a vote for Athens’ new Mayor.
This general primary election will decide state nominees for the U.S. House, the U.S. Senate, the Governor’s race, and several other statewide offices. As a swing state, this election has the potential to foreground a shift in the balance of Representatives and Senators in Washington.
