The mayoral race in Athens-Clarke County has entered a run-off with Tim Denson and Dexter Fisher continuing in the race.
Denson says he is ready to continue his campaign.

“We will be canvassing this week and starting our fundraising and getting right back out there doing the exact same kind of campaign that got us here, and I think that will get us to the finish line,” he said.

About 50 supporters attended Denson’s election results watch party at Athentic Brewing Company Tuesday night. Tara Looney is a supporter of Tim Denson. She says his message about increasing affordability resonated with her.

“He’s advocating for affordable housing. I’m about to graduate, and that’s probably the scariest part, is figuring out how I’m going to afford living outside of being a student,” she said.

The runoff election will occur on June 16th.
