Athens' 26th annual Hot Corner Festival will begin Thursday, June 11th at 6:30 p.m. at Ciné. The festival is a celebration of the city’s African-American business community.
From June 11th to 13th events will be held in commemoration of the historic Black business community that thrived in Athens during the early 1900s. The festival also uplifts current Black businesses and encourages young entrepreneurs, giving them the space to act as vendors.
On Saturday, June 13th - the final day of the festivities - there will be live performances, vendors, and food from 10 a.m. to 10 p.m.. This final event will be at the intersection of Hull and Washington Street and is open to everyone.
