On Friday, June 19th, Historic Athens, in partnership with the city, will host their "Athens Juneteenth Celebration" in downtown Athens from 10:30am to 3:00pm.

Athens-Clarke County will celebrate Independence Day with the Star Spangled Classic Saturday, June 27. The Star Spangled Classic festival will start at 6 p.m. at Southeast Clarke Park.

Athens' 26th annual Hot Corner Festival will begin Thursday, June 11th at 6:30 p.m. at Cine. The festival is a celebration of the city’s African-American business community.

The PrideFest festival zone will be open from 3 to 10 p.m. It will feature local artists, businesses and food trucks. There will also be performances, including a DJ, a live band and drag performers.

The annual Forest Heights Blueberry Festival held in Athens is a celebration of blueberries for all ages. However, the yearly party is only one branch of the west side neighborhood’s Blueberry Project.
