UGA’s annual #flUGA flu vaccination campaign is back Tuesday, with a goal of giving 10,000 flu shots to students, faculty and staff this fall.
The campaign will kick off during #BeWellUGA Week, with vaccination events planned across campus throughout September and October. As of Aug. 28, 18 events were scheduled, with more expected to be added.
Students can get free flu shots Monday through Thursday from 1-3 p.m. and 5-9 p.m. at outreach clinics, dining halls and the mobile #flUGA flu cart. Shots will also be available at the Miller Learning Center, Tate Student Center and the new Dining, Learning, and Well-being Center.
The flu cart will move around campus based on class schedules, giving students more chances to stop by before or after class.
Last year, UGA administered 9,523 flu vaccines. This year, the campaign hopes to reach 10,000.
