Oct 2, 2020

With a dramatice decline in COVID-19 cases across the University of Georgia, Dr. Grace Bagwell Adams, Associate Professor from the UGA College of Public Health, joins us with a look at the pandemic’s progress in Athens.

The Walter J. Brown Media Archives and Peabody Awards Collection has been housed in the University of Georgia Libraries for 25 years. To celebrate, the university is hosting Home Movie Day, a virtual event that invites the public to learn about films from previous decades.

As most of Athens’ extraordinary local music scene remains shuttered, venue owners are eagerly awaiting the day that they can again offer live music. Join us as we speak to local owners, Velena Vego, Seth Hendershot, and Drew Beskin about how the pandemic has impacted their businesses.

This week on Athens News Matters:
