Georgia Senator Jon Ossoff introduces legislation to ban corporate PACS

gpb.org

Last week, U.S. Senator from Georgia Jon Ossoff introduced legislation that would ban corporate PACS. WUGA's Jeanne Davis has the story:

Ossoff along with Democratic Senator from Arizona Mark Kelly introduced the Ban Corporate PACs Act, which would prohibit for-profit corporations from establishing and managing PACs.

The Act would require existing corporate PACS be terminated and funds fully disbursed within 1 year of its enactment.

This legislation follows Sens. Ossoff and Kelly’s recent introduction of their bill prohibiting members of Congress and their families from buying and selling stocks while the member holds office.
