Georgia’s employment numbers have reached an all-time high.
During the summer months, Georgia’s unemployment rate remained at 3.2 percent, below the national average of 3.5 percent.
In July, available jobs were up by 2,600 and over 88,000 across the entire year.
Georgia’s labor force grew in record-breaking numbers with participation increasing to 61.4 percent. The labor force was up by just over 9,000 people, bringing the state’s employed population to 5.3 million people.
Job sectors like Health Care and Social Assistance, Accommodation and Food Services, and Arts, Entertainment, and Recreation have seen growth over the past month and throughout the entire year.
Health Care led all industries, with the top industry and occupations being within the sector. Three of the five top employers are in the Health Care industry.
