The University of Georgia announced two speakers who will deliver the 2026 commencement addresses at the undergraduate and graduate ceremonies.

For this year’s UGA commencement ceremonies, DJ Shockley, former UGA and Atlanta Falcons quarterback, will deliver the undergraduate commencement address. Meg Amstutz, dean of the Jere W. Morehead Honors College, will deliver the graduate commencement address.

Shockley currently serves as a sports director for FOX 5. He was a quarterback for the University of Georgia from 2002 through 2005 and led the football team to an SEC Championship. He was selected by the Atlanta Falcons in the 2006 National Football League Draft, becoming the first UGA player to be drafted by the franchise since 1994.

Amstutz currently serves as dean of the Morehead Honors College. She oversees college operations as well as the campus-wide Center for Undergraduate Research Opportunities and the Foundation Fellowship. She also served as the interim president at the College of Coastal Georgia during the 2017-18 academic year.
