Senator Warnock says, “Stop playing the games. Pay TSA workers now.”
In a recent press release, Georgia Senator Raphael Warnock addressed the ongoing partial government shutdown and the resulting lack of TSA workers.
In his statement, Warnock said that he has spent the past six weeks voting to get TSA and federal workers paid.
Georgia’s international airport has been directly affected by the government shutdown and TSA worker shortage. Security lines at Hartsfield Jackson airport take an average of four hours to get through.
President Trump has since deployed ICE agents and Homeland Security Investigators to airports to support TSA, which has eased wait times. However, a resolution to address the partial government shutdown has still not been passed.
Warnock’s statement says that he is renewing his efforts towards a solution.
