Cedar Shoals High School receives national recognition for helping students pursue postsecondary opportunities.

Cedar Shoals High School was recognized as a2025 School of Excellence by the ACT’s American College Application Campaign. Cedar Shoals was among 26 other high schools recognized nationally, and the only high school in Georgia.

The ACT’s American College Application Campaign acknowledges the school’s efforts to help increase the number of first-generation college students and students from under-resourced communities to pursue higher education.

Cedar Shoals High School had 235 students who completed one or more college applications, and 90 who completed three or more. They also had 130 students apply for Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA).
