Poll workers needed

As midterms approach, ACC’s Elections department has put out a call for poll workers.

The Athens-Clarke County Elections department is looking to hire poll workers who can work during the November General Election.

Applicants must be citizens of the United States, reside in Athens-Clarke County, be able to read, write, and speak in English, and be at least 16 years old.

Applicants must also be available to work Election Day, Tuesday, November 3, 2026, and, if needed, be able to work during the runoff on Tuesday, December 1, 2026.

Poll workers will also be needed for early voting which will be October 13-30th, 2026.

The positions are paid and require training. For more information on how to apply to be a poll worker, go to accgov.com/pollworker. Applications close August 23rd.
