Residents of Athens’ Nellie B community will have an opportunity to discuss neighborhood safety concerns at a community meeting Thursday, Aug. 27.
The Neighbors, Safety & Solutions Meeting will begin at 6:30 p.m. at the Nellie B Community Center, 200 Zatella Lane. The Athens-Clarke County Police Department and Athens Housing Authority are hosting the event.
Residents can share safety concerns, connect with police leadership and officers, learn about community resources and services, and discuss ways to build a safer, stronger neighborhood. Refreshments will be provided.
The Athens Housing Authority provides affordable housing and resources for families, elderly residents, and wage earners while working to create stronger communities in Athens.
