The Athens-Clarke County Police Department is investigating a possible sexual assault that occurred near City Hall in downtown Athens Thursday night.
According to a Saturday press release, detectives have identified a person of interest. ACCPD and the University of Georgia released community alerts Saturday.
WUGA News can confirm that the victim is a UGA student and there has not been an arrest made as the investigation continues.
