President Donald Trump will be attending a rally in Dalton Friday afternoon in support of several Republican races in this fall’s midterm elections.
The midterm rally is scheduled to take place at the Dalton Municipal Airport, with doors opening at 11:30 a.m. and remarks beginning at 3 p.m.
Among the other attendees at the rally will be Republican Congressman and U.S. Senate nominee Mike Collins and gubernatorial candidate Rick Jackson. Jackson has repeatedly pledged to become “Trump’s favorite governor,” and is running against Democrat and former Atlanta Mayor Keisha Lance Bottoms.
“Excited to welcome President Trump back to Georgia on Friday!” Collins said in a post on social media Monday. “We will continue to keep our communities safe, cut taxes and bring down costs, and deliver for Georgia families.”
This is the third time the President has visited the Peach State in 2026. He was in Rome in February and attended a rally at Wheeler High School in Cobb County in July.
Trump was there to support Jackson and Collins, who is running against Democrat incumbent Jon Ossoff.
“Georgia’s a state that believes in common sense, and yet your terrible senator, Jon Ossoff — he’s terrible,” Trump said during his July speech. “And the Democrats in Congress are voting with the Communists every single time. They’re afraid of the Communists.”
Other key races on the Georgia ballot include lieutenant governor, secretary of state, attorney general and state school superintendent.
Early voting in Georgia began Tuesday and will continue until Friday, October 30. General Election Day is Tuesday, November 3. There are multiple locations around Athens that offer early voting. You can get more information at accgov.com/advancevoting.
