Black History Month

The first Black football players to join the University of Georgia team in 1971 recently screened a new documentary about their historic experiences.

The month of February is Black History Month, dedicated to defining and celebrating the achievements of African Americans in the U.S.

The Historic Athens Welcome Center is inviting the community to attend an opening reception for their new exhibit. This free event will take place on February 12th from 4 pm to 6 pm.
