After 10 years, The University of Georgia Athletic director Greg McGarity will be retiring at the end of this month.

Yesterday the University of Georgia announced Josh Brooks will be serving as interim Athletic Director.
Speaking to reporters earlier this morning over Zoom, Brooks explained his philosophy for the position.

“I don’t think this is a time for change, I think what the strength of our department is, is the continuity. And now is definitely not the time to be looking at what we can change.”

During its spring meeting Thursday held over online video conferencing, the University of Georgia Athletic Association Board of Directors unanimously voted for a one-year contract extension for J. Reid Parker Director of Athletics Greg McGarity.
